- A domain name — the unique address where people can find your website, like www.foxigen.com You rent your domain name for so many years from a domain registrar
You have a good web host and a domain. Now, you need to connect the domain to the web host, so that when you type the domain on the internet you are redirected to the site. How to do this depends on if you’re self-hosting or using a company’s server.
Great, you now have a functioning website. You could technically stop here, and wait for visitors to come. But, if you do this, you won’t get any visitors. Why? Simply because nobody will be able to find your site
